Standing at no.10 in the ICC ODI rankings the struggling zimbabwean team made a terrible mistake leaving out opening batsmen Vusi Sidbanda and the inclusion of Prosper Utseya while he is banned from bowling in International Cricket. Highly experienced Hamilton Masakada with a 14 year International Career will make his World Cup debut in Australia.
Zimbabwe also included Stuart Matsikenyeri who last played for Zimababwe in the 2012 World T20, Chammu Chibhabha along with Prosper Utseya.

With the likes of Brendon Taylor, Elton Chigumbura & Sean Williams the batting doesnt looks decent for a Zimbabwean side. Panyangara & Chatara will be te key bowler's from the Zimbabwe point of view in the given conditions and if they get a luck and get Utseya's action correct before the World Cup he will be a great help to them. Leg spinner Kamungoi will be their attacking spinner while Sikander Raza & Matsikenyeri will bowl off spin along with William's left arm spin.

Zimbabwe have a mixed squad of experienced and youths. Although their coach Whatmore is convinced that his team can qualify to the top eights butto speak honestly this looks like more of a dream than reality. They doesnt even stand a real chance to win much games giving that their pool contains top teams like South Africa, India, Pakistan & West Indies. Apart from them they will get a chance to play against Ireland who seems a far better team than Zimbabwe irrespective of their rankings and a game against UAE will only be the hopes for them to win a game.
